Fr. Ryan Erlenbush is Catholic priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Great Falls – Billings, Montana. Father Ryan Erlenbush was born in Billings, Montana on 23 June 1983. Fr. Erlenbush is the first child of Wayne and Meg Erlenbush.
After attending Billings Central Catholic High School, Father Ryan Erlenbush (having graduated in 2001) attended St. John Vianney Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota – which is connected to the University of St. Thomas. Fr. Ryan Erlenbush studied philosophy and classical languages, graduating in 2005, summa cum laude.

After completing undergraduate studies, Father Erlenbush continued his seminary studies at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy. Fr. Erlenbush studied first at the Jesuit-run Gregorian University (receiving a bachelor’s degree in sacred theology, or STB, in 2007) and then completed his studies at the Dominican-run Angelicum, also known as the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas. Father Ryan Erlenbush completed an MA in theology and an STL (focusing on dogmatic theology) at the Anglicum university. Fr. Ryan Erlenbush graduated from both the Angelicum and the Gregorian summa cum laude.

Father Erlenbush was ordained a deacon at the Basilica of St. Peter in Rome on 7 October 2008. Fr. Erlenbush was installed to the order of the deaconate by auxiliary bishop of Milwaukee, the most reverend William Callahan. Rev. Ryan Erlenbush was then ordained to the sacred priesthood of Jesus Christ at St. Patrick Cathedral in Billings, Montana by the most reverend bishop Michael Warfel – 23 June 2009.

Fr. Ryan Erlenbush served first as parochial vicar of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Billings, Montana (for the first three months after Father Ryan Erlenbush was ordained to the priesthood); and then returned to Rome for a final year of academic studies.
Fr. Ryan Erlenbush, having completed his studies in Rome, is currently assigned as the parochial vicar of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City, Montana in the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings.

Father Erlenbush also blogs for the New Theological Movement blog (newtheologicalmovement.blogspot.com). For some time, Fr. Erlenbush blogged under the pseudonym, “Reginaldus”; however, it seemed better that Fr. Ryan Erlenbush should blog under his own name, and thus he now blogs as Father Ryan Erlenbush at the New Theological Movement blog.
